We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Accountant cum Office Assistant.

Position Overview:

As an Account Assistant at Houzwork.com, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and financial activities. You will be responsible for managing both administrative tasks and financial records, providing essential support to various departments within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries on a regular basis.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

Bookkeeping:
• Perform reconciliations of bank statements and accounts.
• Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
• Monitor and track expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.

Office Administration:
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
• Maintain office supplies inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining office files and documents.

Payroll Processing:
• Assist in processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain employee records related to payroll and benefits.

Compliance and Regulations:
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory requirements.

General Support:
• Provide administrative support to other team members and departments as needed.
• Undertake any additional tasks or projects assigned by management.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Razorpay Payroll or similar platforms.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications:

• Certification such as B. Com or equivalent.
